Preschool Dance Camp

Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Age 3-6

Hip hop, ballet, creative movement - FUN DANCE!! We will dance to a different theme each day of the week. This is a five-day long summer camp, meeting Monday through Friday of one week.

Day 1 Theme: Princesses and Superheroes! Ana, Elsa, Moana, Spiderman, and more!
Day 2 Theme: Puppies! (Bluey songs, Paw Patrol - wear your dog ears if you have them!)
Day 3 Theme: Cats & Kittens!
Day 4 Theme: Crazy Colors! As many colors as we can! We will dance to lots of color songs!
Day 5 Theme: Magical Dance Day! (Rainbow unicorns, Dragons, Dinosaurs, and more!)

You can dress up according to the theme each day if you'd like, but not required! We will do fun themed dances specific to each day! Put that TV away and get ready to bop and groove and play!!

Hip Hop Week!

Age 7+

Okay, so this is going to be a lot of fun. This is going to be a Hip Hop BLAST of energy and fun! We will dance every day, learning the basic bounce, rock, and grooves of Hip Hop dance. We will also explore the other elements of Hip Hop, including MCing (writing rhymes), DJing (making beats), knowledge/history, and writing/graffiti. We will explore a variety of street styles, from breaking/breakdancing, to tutting, popping, locking, waving, gliding, and more! Don't miss this one!

Element 1: Dance! Hip hop grooves, rocking, bouncing, breaking, tutting, waving, gliding, & more!
Element 2: Rhyming! (Bluey songs, Paw Patrol - wear your dog ears if you have them!)
Element 3: DJing! We will have a basic introduction on how to make a Hip Hop beat
Element 4: Graffiti! We will learn when it's appropriate and get the chance to spray our own wall!
Element 5: Knowledge We will learn about the history of Hip Hop

August Dance Camp

The final hurrah of summer! Dance away those final summer days as we explore ballet and a few other styles, including tap, modern, and choreography. We will have lots of fun. Put that technology away, grab your friends, and let's dance!

Hip Hop Summer Sampler!

There is so much to learn in the world of Hip Hop dance! We will be learning basic grooves and moves, as well as other forms of street styles. We will also learn about the history of Hip Hop as well as the other elements (knowledge, MCing or writing rhymes, DJing or creating beats, graffiti, and breaking.) This is going to be a FUN way to spend your Friday mornings in Summer! Get off the tablet and let's groove!

Week 1 - Groove, bounce, rock
Week 2 - Breaking (aka Breakdancing)
Week 3 - Popping, Waving, Gliding
Week 4 - Tutting
Week 5 - The other elements of Hip Hop (writing/graffiti, knowledge, MCing, DJing)
Week 6 - Putting it all together

We will try a variety of dance styles, primarily ballet, and have lots of fun!

Each week we will work on basic ballet technique and strengthening and stretching. Some ballet schools are very strict, this will be a fun introduction to ballet great for beginners.

Everyone can benefit from learning proper alignment, grace, and the positions of ballet! Get off the TV! It's time to dance this summer!
